AutoCAD Civil 3D Intersections

Course Description
In this 1‐day course, students use AutoCAD Civil 3D to complete the engineering tasks on an intersection and cul‐de‐sac design. This course guides students through one possible design process from examination of existing site conditions to a final design solution. The primary focus of this course is
to teach engineers how AutoCAD Civil 3D can be used as a tool to perform common engineering tasks in the modeling and design process more accurately and in less time.
 
Course Outline

  • Creating Cul-de-Sacs
  • Creating Knuckles / Bulbouts
  • Creating a Peer-road Intersection
  • Creating a Side-Street to Main Road intersection

Course Prerequisites
Attendees must have a strong working knowledge of the Core AutoCAD application and the Windows XP OS.  Attendee should have at least beginner‐level (Civil 3D Essentials) experience with the Autodesk Civil 3D application.  Knowledge of Civil Engineering desired.
