Autodesk Subscription and Asset Management

We had just started working with Rational Technology Inc. when I asked about purchasing additional licenses of AutoCAD Civil 3D. The RTI representative asked several questions about our license history
and our use of other design software. He suggested we have Autodesk perform a serial number search which uncovered several AutoCAD licenses that had not been used and were available for upgrade purchases. He also suggested a competitive upgrade of an older version of Microstation for an even bigger savings. Because of the extra time and effort our RTI representative used to investigate our unique situation, he was able to approve the purchase of two additional licenses at a significant discount
through the Autodesk upgrade program and the competitive upgrade program. I enjoy working with a representative that is willing to put forth the extra effort to save us money and alleviate stress. We appreciate the conscientious manner with which RTI conducts business.

Implementation Services for AutoCAD Civil 3D

We knew designing in Civil 3D was going to be completely different than the process we used with Autodesk Land Desktop. We’d had several staff members in different offices working on a Civil 3D template but it was hard to coordinate efforts and keep up with projects.

RTI came on site, evaluated our Civil 3D template and worked with one point of contact in our organization to complete our template allowing us to keep up with project deadlines. RTI scheduled a class for our team using their mobile lab with our company template and data from a project we had completed using Land Desktop that everybody on our team was familiar with.

Map 3D Data Integration Services for the Telecommunications Industry

Rational Technology Inc (RTI) provided an on-site update class for us on core ACAD 2008 to 2009 functionality and an on site assessment of how we use Map 3D to access internal and external data. RTI demonstrated how by utilizing tools in Map 3D we could access data we store in a proprietary database. With their assistance we were able to identify many ways to improve our processes by linking our plant to our customer information and integrating external data sources.

Migration Services from Eagle Point to Civil 3D

Coming from an Eagle Point platform using AutoCAD 2004 we knew we would face challenges adopting Autodesk’s AutoCAD Civil 3D. We solicited bids from several vendors. Representatives from Rational Technology Inc. (RTI) came to us and described their project based concept to our team.

They demonstrated strong product knowledge and asked questions to better understand our design process. We chose them based on their structured, project based approach. RTI helped us develop our Civil 3D template and incorporated data for a series of classes from a project we had completed with Eagle Point. With their continued training support we feel our implementation will be successful with minimal disruptions to our productivity.
